Applies a mastery of technical skills and knowledge and a detailed knowledge of industry standards and government regulations related to applying and ensuring quality of final paint application on original equipment manufactured parts, components and complete subsystems for operational aircraft applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs assembly of original equipment manufacturing of parts, components and subsystems for aircraft applications using products and processes are varied but generally not complex in scope to apply primer, topcoat paint, and any spray-applied coatings to aircraft parts consistent with government, customer and company standards. The level of work performed requires some skill and experience. Priorities are determined by management.
Reads and interprets specifications and documents to define the scope of work on work orders.
Cleans grease and dirt from product. Removes rust from metal with acid, wire brush, or steel wool. Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated. Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.
Computes mix ratios in order to mix paint materials. Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color. Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose. Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray.
Selects the appropriate personal protective equipment for the operation to be performed. When using a respirator ensures the respirator is working properly and is properly worn.
Applies spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish using protective or decorative material such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer. Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush. Heats and sprays wax onto products after they are tested. Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
Ensures compliance with environment regulations and maintains records in accordance with these environment regulations.
Requirements
7-10 Years (Aircraft Painting Experience)
Will take a mixture of Aircraft experience and Auto Experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Painting VIP Aircraft, sand, prep, mix paints, prime & paint aircraft.
Requirements
at least 5 or more years of experience in painting VIP aircraft. Not interested in any preppers or detailers. Multiple A & B Levels needed.
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Bring your own tools, they must be etched and shadowed and shall be identified with a number unique to the owner.
Respirator Fit Test, required

Facial Hair – Beards and mustaches, if worn, will be neatly trimmed to an approximate ¼” maximum. Short, evenly trimmed sideburns are allowed.
Tattoos – Visible tattoos are allowed on arms and legs if they are not discriminatory based on racial, sexual, religious, ethnic, or other characteristics or attributes of a sensitive nature. These include the prohibition of any tattoos commonly associated with gangs, extremists and/or supremacist organizations or discrimination. The Aircraft Painter works under minimal supervision to safely prepare, paint, layout paint schemes and detail according to schedule using company quality standards and operating procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs aircraft preparation, painting, and detailing of aircraft under minimal supervision.
Apply primer and finish coats, sanding, prep for paint and other detail work.
Touch up primer and finish coats, including color matching and blending.
Layout paint schemes and designs per technical rendering and be able to read blueprints with minimal help.
Set up and operate typical shop equipment as paint guns, paint measuring equipment, orbital sanders, dye grinders, and other general shop equipment and tools to complete work assignments.
Properly cares for and maintains shop equipment and tools.
Follow standard operating procedures when using sealants, paint strippers, and corrosion-preventive chemicals.
Uses protective equipment and follows safety rules as required in compliance with OSHA.
Requirements
Must have at least 5 years of experience in aircraft prepping and painting or 10 years experience in auto prepping and painting.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
