Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs assembly of original equipment manufacturing of parts, components and subsystems for aircraft applications using products and processes are varied but generally not complex in scope to apply primer, topcoat paint, and any spray-applied coatings to aircraft parts consistent with government, customer and company standards. The level of work performed requires some skill and experience. Priorities are determined by management.
Reads and interprets specifications and documents to define the scope of work on work orders.
Cleans grease and dirt from product. Removes rust from metal with acid, wire brush, or steel wool. Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated. Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.
Computes mix ratios in order to mix paint materials. Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color. Pours coating liquid into spray container and connects gun to air hose. Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray.
Selects the appropriate personal protective equipment for the operation to be performed. When using a respirator ensures the respirator is working properly and is properly worn.
Applies spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish using protective or decorative material such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer. Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer with brush. Heats and sprays wax onto products after they are tested. Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
Ensures compliance with environment regulations and maintains records in accordance with these environment regulations.
Requirements
7-10 Years (Aircraft Painting Experience)
Will take a mixture of Aircraft experience and Auto Experience

Aircraft Painter will be responsible for sanding and preparing surfaces for paint, mixing paint products and applying paint products within the allocated man-hour budgets and on schedule while maintaining quality standards and performing the tasks within the guidelines of all safety and regulatory regulations and requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Mask, sand, and prepare aircraft for paint application.
Apply glazing and sealing compounds in preparation for final painting.
Operate and maintain all types of preparation and priming equipment. Mix paints and primers.
Perform leading edge sealant work in final detail.
Comply with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies. Use personal protective equipment and ensure aircraft interior is protected (PTP).
Requirements
Must report for assignment with personal set of standard trade specific tools
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of related painting experience (including yacht and Naval. Excluding commercial or residential paint experience)
Able to work from designs or verbal instructions to perform layout design.
Familiarity with applicable manufacturer standards and Company procedure governing the care and treatment of aluminum.
Able to use standard spray paint equipment: paint guns, sanding equipment, dual action orbital sander and common hand tools.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
Able to lift and carry 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
Must not be abnormally allergic to paint, paint stripper, solvents, primers or other paint related products that produce fumes or dust while using.
Ability to use a respirator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Must have a thorough working knowledge of all forms and documents required to support the paint portion of a heavy maintenance service, including, but not limited to Company Policy and Procedures manuals, FAR’s, AD’s, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance Manuals.
Efficient in the use and application of tools, gauges, instruments, etc. necessary for the accomplishment of painter duties.
Have an understanding and working knowledge of hazardous material handling and disposal as related to the job assignment.
Works to verbal or written instructions.
Refinishes aircraft, aircraft parts, and other items as assigned.
Ensures paint spraying equipment is maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
Mixes material used in paint process.
Must be able to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to climb and work from ladders, work stands, and other heights.
Must be able to work with one or both hands extended overhead.
Must have correctable near and far vision.
Must be able to hear at conversational level with hearing aid.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Requirements
2 year minimum of aircraft painting experience or specialized training in aircraft painting.
Must have minimum required tools.
Meet qualifications to obtain a SIDA badge.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
