Avionics Technician will perform operational tests on aircraft components to determine condition, analyze performance, and isolate malfunctions in the radar, sensors, weapons control, electronic warfare (EW), flight control, and engine control systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect, service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems that perform communications, navigation, collision avoidance, target acquisition, and automatic flight-control functions.
Excellent knowledge of avionics systems and be able to assist with systems check out and troubleshooting as required.
Must have complete understanding and knowledge of FAA AC 43.13 (acceptable methods), and 91.411/413 RVSM set up and testing a must
Must be able to troubleshoot any avionics system problems and complete a successful repair using experience, equipment manuals, ramp test equipment and breakout boxes with little supervision.
Complete any normal avionics installation task related to the completion of the assignment in the time projected by the supervisor.
Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Reads work instructions including production planning, engineering drawings, full size Mylar layouts, process specifications and other technical documentation to insure proper detail configuration.
Determines dimensions to layout holes patterns, install clips, brackets, nut plates and like items.

Inspects completed assemblies for conformance to specifications.

Selects tooling and materials compatible with the processing techniques identified in the work instructions. Performs rework or repair on any metallic or nonmetallic part presented for rework or repair.
