A&P Mechanic will be responsible for performing inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and troubleshoot discrepancies on rotorcraft.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Familiar with using test equipment for track and balance. Theory of rotor system tracking and balancing for adjustments. Interpreting Airworthiness Directives and Alert Service Bulletins for application on helicopters. Familiar with using measuring instruments such as dial calipers, micrometers, tensiometers, dial bore gauges, feeler gauges, and borescopes. Adjustments and troubleshooting of engine parameters for oil pressure, Ng, temperature indication, and topping settings. Familiar with common hand tools for applying torque to fasteners. Keeping detailed records of all repairs and work performed on the aircraft in accordance with the repair station guidelines. Inspect and repair aircraft according to strict safety guidelines set by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or applicable regulatory body. Perform routine maintenance checks and perform diagnostic tests to identify hydraulic and mechanical malfunctions. Consult maintenance blueprints, manuals, and other documents to assist with troubleshooting and repairs. Inventory aircraft parts, supplies, and equipment, and keep detailed records of inspections, repairs, and other maintenance operations. Requirements

Minimum of 3 years A&P experience working on helicopters with at least 2 years on any of the following designated helicopters, Airbus/Eurocopter AS350, EC130, EC135, EC145, Agusta 109, 119, 139, Bell 206, 407, 429, 412, 505, MD500, and/or Sikorsky S76. Inspects and tests aircraft communications components, navigation components, weather radar, auto pilot, compass systems, and accessories, certifying that all meet manufacturer’s specifications. Responsible for completing all reports, forms, and checklists as required in accordance with company, government, and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. Complies with all safety requirements and uses all mandated safety equipment in accordance with company, government, and OSHA requirements. Assists coworkers and those in other departments to successfully perform job duties and functions when necessary.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 5 years of Boeing 737 experience. For this position, a current Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) or Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license is preferred. Must have current driver’s license. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, installation drawings or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the garner public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, aera, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
