The Cabin/Interiors Technician’s main responsibilities will be removal disassembly, cleaning, inspecting, repairing and reinstalling as needed of aircraft cabin furnishings and equipment as galleys, lavatories, seats, overhead compartments, panels and carpeting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Removal disassembly, cleaning, inspecting, repairing and reinstalling as needed of aircraft cabin furnishings and equipment as galleys, lavatories, seats, overhead compartments, panels and carpeting.
Repair, adjustments and installation of aircraft seats.
Read and understand blueprints, engineering documents, service bulletins, aircraft manuals and catalogs and perform complex cabin reconfigurations.
Hold general knowledge of tools.
Understand how to read a micrometer, depth gauge or dial calipers.
Identify interior fasteners and determine grip lengths required, and possess basic knowledge of installation methods.
Clean corrosion and treat metal surfaces per the manufacturer’s instructions and specifications.
Apply corrosion preventatives and know to which areas of the aircraft corrosion inhibiting liquids may not be applied.
Accomplish simple sheet metal repairs or simple replacements of structural parts. Fabricate replacement covering, panels or fairings by using the removed parts as samples.
Understand and practice correctly basic sealing procedures of aircraft
Identify the locations of pressurized areas of the aircraft.
Open and close areas on the aircraft which are required to be opened for inspection.
May affect bonded repairs of honeycomb structures.
Ensure work performed meets FAA and customer standards.
Follow standards of behavior and appearance for all staff members.
Ask questions as necessary to increase knowledge or skill.
Maintain work area in an orderly and clean manner.
Clean and remove any foreign objects generated during the course of effecting repairs.
Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
3 years previous Interiors/Cabins experience required.
Must have minimum required tools.

Candidates must report on first day with 2 forms of acceptable identification to e-verify employment eligibility.

Works with the finish coating process for aircraft cabinets and performs other functions that support the delivery or aircraft cabinets using personal skills in conformance with procedures and guidelines and to the standards of the Dassault Falcon Jet quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Work from drawings, sketches, pictures or verbal specifications to stain, finish, and polish cabinets, cabinet parts, and sub-assemblies including inlays, patterns, and special designs.
Strip finish as needed.
Experience working with wood veneers, sanding, clear coating, staining, and touch up on veneers.
Prepare surfaces to be painted by sanding, steaming, filling, and cleaning.
Cover all areas to be protected from paint or stripper with proper materials.
Select and mix proper paint to the Manufacturer’s specifications. May be required to experiment with special paints and related products.
Set up and use spray gun for proper application of urethane, lacquer, enamel, water base and epoxy paints.
Touch up woodwork with brush, airbrush, and/or spray gun, blend-in techniques.
Complete tasks within assigned time limits.
Accurately log computerized labor data collection system for work orders, time and attendance tracking.
May lead or train other personnel on specific job assignments as directed by supervision.
Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures.
Set up and operate standard shop equipment.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of experience preparing, sanding or stripping metal or composite surfaces for the application of primer; or polishing, buffing and/or touch up/artistic background; or specialized technical school certification in related field
Able to work from documentation such as company procedures, preparation packages, etc.
Able to work in confined spaces.
Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
Must have visual capacity and muscular dexterity to work on fine detail, high cost products with a minimum of errors or rework.
Able to use standard spray paint equipment: paint guns, sanding equipment, dual action orbital sander and common hand tools.
Must not be abnormally allergic to paint, paint stripper, solvents, primers or other paint related products that produce fumes or dust while using.
Ability to use a respirator.
If working in Interiors, must be able to repeatedly enter and exit aircraft using stationary steps/stairs
Preferred - Aircraft cabinetry finish experience.
Preferred - Able to solve practical problems when needed.
