Ensure current specifications involving inspection tolerances, limits, and procedures recommended by the manufacturer of the product undergoing inspection and other forms of applicable inspection information are available for reference. Other examples of inspection information would be FAA Airworthiness Directives, manufacturer’s bulletins, approved customer data, and Federal Aviation Regulations. Make final airworthiness determination prior to “Return of Service” on items they are authorized to inspect for any article maintained or altered by this repair station. Reject any work or parts that have not been properly maintained or altered in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer’s approved data, customer approved data and the policies and procedures contained within this manual. Must have minimum of 2 years’ experience in heavy commercial aircraft or 3 years experience on large military transport aircraft. A&P License Must have minimum required tools. Tools must be etched Normally performs duties according to his or her judgment and only requests supervisory assistance when necessary with regard to methods, procedures, and desired end results. A moderate to high level of discretion is allowed when making selections among a few, easily identifiable choices. Assignment is frequently reviewed upon completion. Duties are performed on a rotating shift schedule and often include nights, weekends and holidays. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Able to work from drawings, sketches, pictures, or verbal specifications. Must be able to use calibrated tools, measuring devices, and set up and operate standard shop equipment. Able to enter or exit aircraft work stands in a safe manner. Able to work from adjustable height stands in a safe manner and be able to climb steps to approximately 25 feet in height, with or without reasonable accommodation. Able to use motorized portable personnel lifts that extend up to 25 feet in height. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
