Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs bonding of metallic or nonmetallic materials to fabricate parts for aircraft applications using products and processes are varied but generally not complex in scope. The level of work performed requires some skill and experience. Works under regular supervision applying standard procedures and solutions to meet work requirements. Fits core in panels where close tolerances are required for installation of details for completion of assembly. Performs vacuum bagging for Autoclave cures up to 100 psi. Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts, or uses templates. Selects tooling and materials compatible with the processing techniques identified in the work instructions.

Remove and replace various aircraft components with the use of special tooling and ground support equipment following oral and written instructions such as supervisor’s directives and manuals to complete all routine and non-routine assignments in a timely manner. Knowledge of ATA codes, knowledge of all applicable F.A.R.’s and company policies and procedures including job card/ time card, routine/ non-routine cards, S.R.M.’s, service bulletins, E.O.’s, and work sign-off/ sell-off procedures. Perform the duties of and provide the necessary training for lower skill levels. Maintain and store tools in a serviceable condition. Adhere to safe maintenance practices and keep a clean work area. Maintain and supply personal records of work performed on OJT forms for the Training Department. Successfully complete any courses deemed necessary by the Training Department. Perform any work that may be assigned by his or her supervisor.

Shoes – When working in safety and/or industrial flight line environment, shoes must follow OSHA guidelines. Can wear tennis shoes (Black is preferred) Site Specific Uniforms – (All) – Standardized dress at our hangar locations include site specific color uniform pants (responsibility of the employee to provide), blue or white shirts. Able to work from drawings, sketches, pictures, or verbal specifications. Must be able to use calibrated tools, measuring devices, and set up and operate standard shop equipment. Able to enter or exit aircraft work stands in a safe manner. Able to work from adjustable height stands in a safe manner and be able to climb steps to approximately 25 feet in height, with or without reasonable accommodation. Able to use motorized portable personnel lifts that extend up to 25 feet in height. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. (experience is not cumulative) Proficient with using hand tools and precision equipment. Capable of reading and interpreting approved aircraft diagrams, charts, schematics and maintenance procedures. Able to work on maintenance stands, lifts and ladders, work in confined spaces in unusual positions Able to lift minimum 50lbs and able to enter and exit the aircraft using steps and/or stairs. Must not be allergic to jet fuel, oils, hydraulic fluids or cleaning solvents. ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Aircraft experience, preferably on Falcon aircraft. Experience in a production atmosphere.
