A&P Mechanics perform complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision. They must ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications while interpreting aircraft technical manuals and electrical drawings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Requirements

5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant license High School Diploma or General Education Degree required. Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Highly proficient with computer based technical data programs, and be competent in researching and use of appropriate technical manuals and industry reference materials Must be mechanically adept and demonstrate the skills and knowledge consistent with industry standards for this position, including an understanding of various airframe and power plant systems. Must be able to work inside and outside under varying work and climatic conditions, have the ability to lift up to 70 pounds and must be comfortable with heights. Other examples of inspection information would be FAA Airworthiness Directives, manufacturer’s bulletins, approved customer data, and Federal Aviation Regulations. Make final airworthiness determination prior to “Return of Service” on items they are authorized to inspect for any article maintained or altered by this repair station. Reject any work or parts that have not been properly maintained or altered in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer’s approved data, customer approved data and the policies and procedures contained within this manual. Report any difficulties, uncertainties, unserviceable equipment or potential safety hazards to their supervisor and observe all safety precautions in the performance of assigned tasks at all times. Report any tool issues to stores and ensure the correct tag is attached and properly completed. Take part in any required training including GMM and safety. Proven ability to work alone and in a team environment.

Requirements

1-3 years aircraft maintenance experience A&P License Have own tools Adhere to standard procedures and policies. Accurately and legibly, record the maintenance or alteration on the proper repair station and/or customer supplied forms including their signature or initials and employee number. Able to perform intermediate/heavy maintenance tasks with little supervision. Perform flight control and engine throttle rigging.
