The Aircraft Mechanic I, with limited supervision, assists with testing, adjusting and repairing, and other general tasks related to the maintenance and repair of airframe systems and components on all models of Learjet business jets. Performs maintenance in a safe and clean work environment according to manufacturer's specifications, company approved procedures and customer specifications. In addition, prepares and completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

With proper training and limited supervision can perform high quality inspections, servicing, and maintenance on a variety of airframes. Can properly use hand tools in a timely, clean, safe and professional manner with no rework. Can accurately order general aircraft parts as needed. With proper training and limited supervision, performs minor troubleshooting, function testing, and repair of aircraft systems and components. Prepares various documents for record keeping purposes, as required by Company policy and FAA regulations (i.e. turnovers, removal sheets, personal training log, etc.). Demonstrates proficiency of the Duncan Aviation work order system by completing accurate and timely discrepancies and corrective action statements, Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives (AD) Compliance statements, final inspection and closing of squawks and work orders. Consistently locates and uses appropriate technical data and follows verbal instructions when accomplishing assigned maintenance tasks. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

One to two years Aircraft maintenance experience required High School graduate or equivalent required. FAA Airframe Maintenance Certificate required FAA Powerplant Certificate required Must have valid drivers license with acceptable driving record

The Sheet Metal Mechanic is responsible for high proficiency in all minor through major repairs, modifications, E.A.s, and with minimal supervision.

Remove and replace various aircraft components with the use of special tooling and ground support equipment following oral and written instructions such as supervisor’s directives and manuals to complete all routine and non-routine assignments in a timely manner. Reviews work orders, invoices, etc. to ensure timely and accurate inventory allocation, appropriate sign-off language, and accurate charges for labor and outside services are applied prior to billing. Participates in reviewing of the final invoice with appropriate management and sales team for profitability, accuracy, accountability and documentation. Assists professionally and courteously in addressing customer billing disputes and work order reviews for maintenance actions performed by team members. 4. Supervises day-to-day activities of team members as assigned by the team leader. Holds team members accountable to Duncan Aviation approved policies and procedures, including professionalism, safety and cleanliness of the work environment. Ensures the team's consistent use of appropriate technical data. 5. Structural Mech I

In a team oriented work environment, under moderate supervision, performs a variety of structural assembly operations in a production department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions: Perform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures and varied drilling and riveting operations; ensures parts/assembly meet requirements. Rivet structural assemblies and parts using all tools required. to do the job (e.g. portable riveting guns, pneumatic guns, pneumatic drills, counter sinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers, rivets). Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations, type size and hole pattern for rivets. Check all work and ensure a defective free assembly prior to final inspection. Maintain and use all logs and records (e.g. MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs). Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners. Maintain a neat and orderly work area, supports the company 5S Program and complies with all safety regulations. Work under moderate supervision on duties and tasks. Support Lean Activities. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. 1 year related structural assembly experience. Experience working with Solumina and Smarteam preferred. One year experience credit considered for graduates of Savannah Tech Aircraft Structures Technical Certificate Program. Other Requirements: Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints. Read and interpret 6" scale. Basic computer skills. Must be able to read a scale and perform basic shop math. Read and comprehend basic documents and instructions. Must have essential personal skills, which include an aptitude for hands-on craftwork, a professional attitude, attention to detail, ability to work with people and to meet demanding schedules. Must demonstrate good housekeeping and safety practices. Ability to work with composite resins and materials. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to work any shift. Must be able to climb ladders/stands/stairs and work in small spaces and/or restricted areas.
