Structural Fabricator 9
We are seeking a skilled Structural Fabricator to support aircraft structural and component fabrication in a backshop environment. This role focuses on precision fabrication, modification, and repair of aircraft structures and components, supporting maintenance and production teams through high-quality workmanship, compliance, and collaboration. The ideal candidate brings hands-on fabrication expertise, corporate aviation exposure, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Adhere to general work requirements applicable to factory, shop, and hangar environments Comply with all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures Participate in 5S initiatives and maintain a safe, organized work area Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and maintain aircraft structural components Fabricate and modify aircraft structural parts and assemblies Perform structural repairs on composite components, both attached and detached Remove and install aircraft components as required Conduct or assist with inspections for hidden damage on aircraft structures Support and perform complex structural repairs on or off the aircraft Document all work in accordance with approved manuals and regulatory requirements Operate ground support equipment as required Repair or assist in the repair of aircraft and shop components Perform mechanical and limited electrical component removals and installations Inspect confined areas of the airframe Assist with wing removal and reinstallation activities as needed Support off-site maintenance activities when required Design, modify, and weld metal fixtures as needed Fabricate parts for ground support equipment Assist with aircraft towing operations Collaborate effectively with other maintenance and fabrication disciplines Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs
Requirements
Minimum 8 years of structural fabrication experience (or substantiated equivalent experience) Minimum 1 year of corporate aircraft experience Completion of a Sheet Metal Aircraft Technician School or equivalent technical training Ability to read, interpret, and work from mechanical and engineering drawings Strong written and verbal communication skills related to task execution and aircraft status Ownership of a basic set of hand tools, with the ability to demonstrate proper inventory control Ability to obtain required Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications Willingness to work unscheduled overtime, including weekends and holidays Ability to work outdoors in seasonal and inclement weather when required Ability to obtain a SIDA badge, if applicable Basic proficiency with computers and standard PC applications
