Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities: Performs bonding of metallic and nonmetallic materials to fabricate parts, components and assemblies for aircraft applications using products and processes that are varied and moderately complex to complex in scope. The level of work requires experience and sound judgment. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications sketches, job orders, planning documents and engineering drawings. Determine equipment requirements and the method and sequences of operation to be followed in fabrication of parts using materials such as graphite, fiberglass, plastic, boron, flock, mat, epoxy resins, rubber and like materials. Plans, lays out, fabricates and builds adhesive bonded assemblies of metallic and nonmetallic composite materials. Fabricate composite and metal parts into subassemblies for the purpose of prefitting in preparation for bonding/curing in presses, ovens, and autoclaves. Lays out, prefits, assembles and performs lay-up on a variety of metal to metal and composite bonded assemblies. Fits core in panels where close tolerances are required for installation of details for completion of assembly. Performs vacuum bagging for Autoclave cures up to 100 psi. Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts, or uses templates. Selects tooling and materials compatible with the processing techniques identified in the work instructions. Performs rework or repair on any metallic or nonmetallic part presented for rework or repair.

Requirements

4 years experience in Aircraft Repair Bonding in an aerospace environment Special Skills, Licenses or Job Requirements: Demonstrate competency in applying the following in performing normal job duties. • Reading and interpreting work instructions, properly documenting work performed on such documents as process planning, adhesive log sheets, Material Review Board documents, Engineering Work Orders, Change Notices, Engineering Process Specifications, technical manuals and like documentation. • Use close tolerance measuring tools i.e. scales, micrometers, calipers, depth gages and like tools. Release for return to service aircraft articles for which they are trained, qualified and authorized. Complete the Work Order closing. Maintain tally sheets for discrepancies issued against the Non-Routine Work Item. Verifies that inspection records, reports and forms used by the repair station are executed prior to final releasing into service. Issue Work Order Package and applicable references, tag and identify parts. Verification that the latest technical data is used on articles being Overhauled, Repaired and or inspected. Ensure currency of technical data is always maintained. Ensure that identifications tags are on articles. Ensure that rejected parts or unserviceable parts are tagged and discarded as per RSM and QCM to prevent their use on serviceable parts.

Requirements: 4-6 years years of Inspection experience on commercial aircraft irframe License Preferred Powerplant License Preferred High School Diploma/GED. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must be able to lift fifty (50) lbs. Subject to continual loud noises. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods of time, climb steps, ladders and/or service stands. Successfully complete a comprehensive background check, verification of credentials, and a urinary pre-employment test for drugs as per DOT regulations.

A Sheetmetal Mechanic III is responsible for high proficiency in all minor through major repairs, modifications, E.A.s, and with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Remove and replace various aircraft components with the use of special tooling and ground support equipment following oral and written instructions such as supervisor’s directives and manuals to complete all routine and non-routine assignments in a timely manner. Ability to layout work using bend radius, set back and bend allowance charts, utilization of shop math, install and/or splice spars, landing gear, trunion changes, pressure bulkhead repairs and keal beam repairs/ removal and reinstall. Perform the duties of and provide the necessary training for lower skill levels. Maintain and store tools in a serviceable condition. Adhere to safe maintenance practices and keep a clean work area. Maintain and supply personal records of work performed on OJT forms for the Training Department. Successfully complete any courses deemed necessary by the Training Department. Perform any work that may be assigned by his or her supervisor.

Requirements

10 - 20 years’ experience of heavy structures on commercial aircraft. Passenger to Cargo conversions is a plus Minimum Required Tools (Etched before Arrival). Operating knowledge of shop equipment to include, drill presses, shears, brakes, and band saws. Capable of performing structural repairs on floor beams, fuselage skin repairs, to include stringers, doublers, and triplers. Capable of performing floor beam, and frame installations / repairs. Capable of performing basic repairs, blend outs, and reinforcing repairs. Corrosion removal, damage evaluation, and finish restoration. Ability to read and interpret SRM damage limits, and repairs. Working knowledge of IPCs. Ability to read, interpret, plan and work from complex SRM’s, Blueprints, Service Bulletins, ADs, EAs, and EO’s. Working knowledge of cold working, roto peening, and freeze plug installations a plus.

Miscellaneous

Candidates must report on first day with 2 forms of acceptable identification to verify employment eligibility. Applicants should plan on one week of orientation/training upon arrival APA offers on site representation Food trucks available daily onsite.
