Reads maintenance manuals to identify and locate aircraft components on the aircraft, and accurately implements instructions of maintenance manuals.
Identifies the structural composition of aircraft (i.e., aluminum or composite) prior to performing any work on the structure.
Performs repairs on noted discrepancies, and effectively researches manufacturer’s manuals for appropriate repair procedures prior to performing repairs. Prepares and maintains simple records such as work order documentation, logs, and time and material records, as instructed.
Follows safety procedures and wears/uses appropriate safety equipment for the work being performed.
Reads instructions and safety information as necessary for proper and safe completion of assigned work.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of sheet metal experience on Airbus and Boeing Aircraft
High School Diploma or GED required.
Airframe & Powerplant License, preferred
Have own tools
Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in English regarding safety sensitive work activities, per FAA requirements.
Individual will perform daily transactions within the ERP system (AMROS KIOSK), vending (POU), as well as research customer’s maintenance manuals.
Work safely and follow safety rules and regulations. Take action to prevent others from engaging in unsafe practices.
