As an A&P Mechanic II, you will be responsible for performing routine and non-routine maintenance on commercial aircraft.

Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, part replacement and modifications for aircraft Perform the assigned maintenance task in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer’s recommendations, customers approved maintenance program, approved or acceptable data. Troubleshoot problems, make repairs, and prepare areas for complete inspections. Perform high quality and airworthy work in accordance with the Task Card instructions provided to them by the Project Manager and/or their Lead. Become familiar with and follow the requirements of this Repair Station Manual, Federal Aviation Regulations, Airworthiness Directives, advisory circular, manufacturer’s service bulletins and any other required to perform their assigned work. Never begin any maintenance unless in possession of the proper, current and applicable approved or acceptable data. Report any difficulties, uncertainties, unserviceable equipment or potential safety hazards to their supervisor and observe all safety precautions in the performance of assigned tasks at all times. Report any tool issues to stores and ensure the correct tag is attached and properly completed. Take part in any required training including GMM and safety. Proven ability to work alone and in a team environment.

3-5 years aircraft maintenance experience A&P License Have own tools Adhere to standard procedures and policies. Accurately and legibly, record the maintenance or alteration on the proper repair station and/or customer supplied forms including their signature or initials and employee number. Able to perform intermediate/heavy maintenance tasks with little supervision. Perform flight control and engine throttle rigging.

Inspects completed assemblies for conformance to specifications. Completes and maintains necessary paperwork for documenting processes performed.

Performs bonded repairs of honeycomb structures as instructed. Identifies the locations of pressurized areas of aircraft. Opens and closes areas on the aircraft that are required to be open for inspection. Applies corrosion preventatives and maintains knowledge of areas of the aircraft in which corrosion inhibiting liquids may not be applied. Possesses working knowledge of ATA Codes (Chapter and Subchapters) as well as aircraft zones, narrow body airframe familiarization, and industry standards. Reads maintenance manuals to identify and locate aircraft components on the aircraft, and accurately implements instructions of maintenance manuals. Identifies the structural composition of aircraft (i.e., aluminum or composite) prior to performing any work on the structure. Performs repairs on noted discrepancies, and effectively researches manufacturer’s manuals for appropriate repair procedures prior to performing repairs. Prepares and maintains simple records such as work order documentation, logs, and time and material records, as instructed. Follows safety procedures and wears/uses appropriate safety equipment for the work being performed. Reads instructions and safety information as necessary for proper and safe completion of assigned work. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum 7 years of sheet metal experience on Airbus and Boeing Aircraft High School Diploma or GED required. Airframe & Powerplant License, preferred Have own tools Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in English regarding safety sensitive work activities, per FAA requirements. Individual will perform daily transactions within the ERP system (AMROS KIOSK), vending (POU), as well as research customer’s maintenance manuals. Work safely and follow safety rules and regulations. The Interior Installation Technician II works under general supervision to remove, install, and/or fabricate aircraft interiors, which may include items such as trim, carpet, sound proofing, light structure, cabinetry, panels and other accessories. All work performed should be in accordance with company design specifications, quality standards and completed work should meet customer expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Safely perform aircraft removal, installation, and/or fabrication of aircraft interiors (which may include galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors and panels). Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with Repair Station procedures, internal and FAA paperwork, signoffs and quality specifications. Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and to sign-off work. Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment such as hand tools, band saws, shears, sanders and brakes. Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools. Prepare and install aircraft interior items in accordance with company operation procedures and quality standards. Remove and re-install nut plates, inserts and other fasteners used in aircraft interiors. Apply proper use of hardware and fittings on aircraft installations. Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies and use personal protective equipment as required. Address unsafe conditions before putting people or property at risk. Assist technicians, under supervision, with aircraft maintenance requirements. Adapt to sudden schedule changes. Additional Functions: Work with lead and higher skilled technicians to develop and implement process improvements that reduce cost, cycle time, and man-hours using Lean Six Sigma and other process improvement techniques. Make and use simple patterns for own use employing standardized procedures. . In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required.

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years of application installation, fabrication or related experience. preferred. Experience in aerospace industry. Other Requirements: Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation. Ability to use hand/power tools and equipment associated with installation and removal of interiors. Able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small, restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds and work any shift. Must be computer literate. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
