The Aircraft Inspector will conduct all required inspections in accordance with the applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer’s approved data, any customer’s approved program data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Accept or reject work accomplished for all items generated on the inspection forms. Responsible for the surveillance of all work in progress. Assure that all work inspected is in accordance with current FAA approved technical data. Assure that all routine, non-routine, and customer request work cards are correctly completed and properly signed off. Verify calibrated tooling used is current. Assist the Director of Maintenance, Maintenance Manager, and Chief Inspector to ensure health and safety practices are followed. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions: Required to read and interpret Completions customer specifications and engineering drawings / specifications to determine the proper color, font, dimension, and materials required to create and install aircraft placards or identification plates, and to create spray masking, as well as perform wire stamping. Use Adobe Illustrator, pdf files and Gerber Omega software to accurately draw, layout, and produce aircraft placards. Additional software or machine operating systems may become required as equipment needs dictate. Use sign cutting equipment to produce masking per Exterior Markings Drawings requirements for exterior paint application on Gulfstream aircraft. Maintain proper documentation of all work to include traceability of materials used during manufacturing to ensure compliance with all inspection and FAA requirements. Other examples of inspection information would be FAA Airworthiness Directives, manufacturer’s bulletins, approved customer data, and Federal Aviation Regulations. Make final airworthiness determination prior to “Return of Service” on items they are authorized to inspect for any article maintained or altered by this repair station. Reject any work or parts that have not been properly maintained or altered in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer’s approved data, customer approved data and the policies and procedures contained within this manual.
